Hundreds of poultry and cage along Ciliwung riverbank, Cikini Urban Village, Menteng Sub-district, Central Jakarta were controlled by Central Jakarta Sub-dept. of Maritime, Fishery and Food Tenacity (KPKP), Thursday (5/19).

M. Mulyadi, head of agency, said the effort was done as anticipation of bird flu spread.

“We slaughtered 100 poultry at the location. Previously, we had controlled the poultry here,” he said, Thursday (5/19).

As many as 40 personnel of Satpol PP, KPKP, Army and Police were also deployed during the raid.

“Poultry cages are also destroyed,” he closed.
